Deeply felt roots of generations in the rural heartlands of Northumberland and Scotland drew us from the U.S. to the land of our ancestors. Unaware of the remarkable bond we would uncover, years of meaningful return visits and new friendships unfolded as each step immersed us in the very soil, awakening a heritage felt in our blood and bone—a knowing that surpassed mere intellect, forging a bond rooted in that ancestral earth.

Of all the remnants of those who came before us—the land they walked, the buildings they raised—it was often the furniture that spoke to us most directly.
